Alan Kenefick is a World Champion Irish dancer from Cork in Ireland. His dynamic and modern take on Irish dancing has placed him firmly as one of the most sought-after dancers and Irish dance choreographers in the world.
Alan has performed alongside Michael Flatley in his show 'Celtic Tiger' in front of 80,000 people. He has performed with the legendary Irish group 'The Chieftains' and has performed as a principal dancer with various touring productions all over the world including Magic of the Dance, Ragús and Riverdance.
In 2009 Alan’s group ‘Irish Beats’ were crowned winners of the Irish TV show ‘An Jig Gig’ which set the course for his continued success and interest in pushing the boundaries in Irish dance choreography.
Alan’s company and biggest success to date is his dance sensation and groundbreaking ‘Prodijig’ which he created, choreographed and starred in.
Also in Prodijig are some of the worlds best Irish dancers, leading Irish Dance into a new era alongside Alan. The group had phenomenal success when they were crowned winners of hit TV show ‘Got to Dance’ in the UK which was watched by 1.9 million people.
Following the success of the series, Alan went on to create the full-length show ‘Footstorm’ which showcased his unique style in a powerful theatrical show. Footstorm has toured Ireland, the UK and China with a run on the West End.
Prodijig has performed at many stage and TV appearances including the IFTA's, The Voice of Ireland, The Late Late Show, Tonight at the London Palladium and many more.
Alan's newest show is Prodijig: The Revolution. It had its debut in the Cork Opera House in 2016 and received 5 stars in the Irish Times described as having “irresistible, revolutionary energy”.
